Birkie the Lab face-on, brow furrowed in gentle expectation.

Birkie's bronze head gleaming on a table at an outdoor art fair.

Birkie's head keeping watch from an oak partition rail indoors.

The real Birkie studies the clay model of his own portrait.

The freshly cast head, still bright copper, sits on the floor between two curious dogs.
